Day 1

Staniel Cay to Sampson Cay: Into the Blue

Embark from Staniel Cay, a popular charter hub with convenient airport access and proximity to Big Major’s and Thunderball Grotto. Cruise north just a short distance to Sampson Cay, where calm, protected waters and surreal shallows welcome you into the quieter reaches of the Exumas.

Spend the afternoon exploring Pipe Creek, a winding series of sandbars and channels perfect for paddleboarding, tender exploration, or simply soaking in the serenity.

Day 2

Sampson Cay: Sandbars & Serenity

With the yacht anchored nearby, today is all about slow living and quiet beauty. Pipe Creek at low tide reveals one of the most photogenic sandbars in the Bahamas—ideal for a shaded beach picnic or barefoot wander.

Nearby coral heads provide excellent snorkeling, and the glassy waters are perfect for a full day of water toys. For fishing enthusiasts, this area also offers solid opportunities for reef or flats fishing.

Day 3

Oven Rock, Great Guana Cay: Caves & Coastlines

Cruise south to Great Guana Cay, dropping anchor near Oven Rock. From the beach, a short hike leads to a hidden inland cave system where you can swim in a cool, freshwater grotto under a ceiling of limestone stalactites—one of the Exumas’ best-kept secrets.

Later, head back to the beach for sunbathing, snorkeling, and swimming. The nearby reefs are teeming with life, and the coastline here feels wonderfully untouched.

Day 4

Little Farmer’s Cay: Local Flavor & Lazy Beaches

Arrive at Little Farmer’s Cay, a small and welcoming settlement known for its friendly locals and authentic Bahamian charm. Depending on the tide, visit Ocean Cabin, a beloved local restaurant for lunch and a chat with proprietor Terry Bain.

Swim or snorkel off the white-sand beaches, or stop by the island’s small craft stalls to browse handmade conch jewelry and straw work. It’s a wonderfully low-key island, offering a glimpse into Bahamian life that hasn’t changed in decades.

Day 5

Cave Cay: Anchor in Paradise

Just south of Little Farmer’s is Cave Cay, a private island surrounded by luminous blue water, hidden anchorages, and sheer tranquility. The channels and sandbars around Cave Cay are a dream for paddleboarding and kayaking, while the outer reefs provide fantastic snorkeling and spearfishing opportunities.

This is one of the most secluded and scenic spots in the southern Exumas—perfect for a beach setup, a sunset cocktail on the bow, or simply watching the colors shift across the water in total privacy.

Day 6

Black Point, Great Guana Cay: Beachside Bliss

Head back north to Black Point, a small settlement on Great Guana Cay with a laid-back vibe and long stretches of beautiful beach. Take a tender ashore to explore the town or hike to Oven Rock Cave if not visited earlier in the week.

The anchorage here is ideal for a full day of watersports, and the nearby sandbars are perfect for relaxing, beachcombing, or enjoying a lazy lunch with a view. The waters are especially clear here, offering ideal snorkeling just off the back of the yacht.

Day 7

Sampson Cay: Final Play Day

Return to Sampson Cay for a final day of fun and freedom. Revisit your favorite sandbar, head out for one last spearfishing run, or simply unwind and enjoy the quiet luxury of this spectacular anchorage.

If desired, spend the afternoon revisiting Pipe Creek or nearby Bitter Guana Cay, home to endangered rock iguanas and a lovely stretch of beach.

Day 8

Return to Staniel Cay: Farewell to the Exumas

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast as you cruise back to Staniel Cay, where your tender and ground transfer will be waiting to return you to the airport. Whether it’s your first time in the Exumas or your fifth, the Southern Cays offer a rare kind of magic—one that calls you back, again and again.
